What does a Move Manager do?

Senior Move Managers have expertise in resources and methods that save time, money, reduce stress and produce quality results. Services are customized to meet the needs of a senior transitioning to a new residence or re-organizing their current home.

Are you a moving company?

Take Care is not a licensed mover and therefore we do not transport the client’s
furnishings. We assist the client in the selection and oversight of a qualified licensed and insured mover. Take Care recommends a preferred local mover with over 85 years of experience and an A+ Better Business Bureau rating.

Will Take Care Assist on move day?

Yes, we will be on site on move day to see that last minute items are packed and loaded carefully and we will meet the movers at the new residence to assure all possessions are unloaded carefully and placed in their proper locations as we begin to set up your new residence.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE THE FURNISHINGS AND POSSESSIONS THAT WILL NOT FIT IN MY NEW RESIDENCE?

We facilitate donations, items for recycle, and disposal. We have suggestions for resale of items. We arrange for shipping items locally or across the country.

DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH SENIOR CLIENTS?

Most of our clients are seniors or family members of seniors. However if you have physical limitations or are just too busy to do it yourself, our services offer a smart way to prepare for and facilitate downsizing, organizing and moving to a new residence.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE? DOES TAKE CARE PROVIDE CROSS COUNTRY SERVICE BEYOND THE PORTLAND AREA?

We serve the greater Portland area to include Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties. We also serve Newberg, McMinnville, Salem, Keizer and Woodburn. Ask for more information regarding “special requests”. Take Care Move Assistance is a member of NASMM (National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers), the leading membership organization for Move Managers in the US, Canada and abroad. Take Care will vet and coordinate a Move Manager in most major cities in the US. In this way we can provide a senior move management experience at both locations and also arrange for a NASMM recommended moving company. This will ensure the quality of your service.

DO YOU SELL MOVING BOXES?

Yes, we sell new and used moving boxes. However Take Care does not charge for boxes and materials if we provide your packing and unpacking services!

We use supplies and equipment to facilitate a smooth and injury free environment. Our employees follow all state guidelines for COVID protocols.
